Hi I to just found it put my number said was made in 1922

Can't be right help to date please

Well, without you providing any info at all, that is impossible. What, are we mind readers?

What is the serial number. What is the model?

And it sure would help to post some pics of it (headstock shot include).

Otherwise, nobody can help you. [biggrin]

Guitardater would be great if they would update the serials that it recognizes. It seems that they have lost interest in the project. I mean, they havent really updated in almost four years, but now you are innudated with a massive ad when you go there. Guitardater is crap becuase the owners let it slide in to irrelevance and are apparently resting on their laurels.

Anyway, who needs Guitardater to date an Epiphone when we have this thread? I havent even really used Guitardater since this thread went up.

Bye bye Guitar Dater Project. You used to be cool. It was nice knowing you.

Hey guys

I'm very new to the Epiphone LP world and I'm looking into purchasing my first.

Up until now I have my eye on two guitars and I would like to know if they are legit since the Guitar Dater can't recognize either.

S#1: 311552845

S#2: 311560242

Also, if you can, give me a brief explanation on how to differentiate a legit epiphone standard from counterfeits. I'd hate to get scammed :(

Hello there guys. I recently purchased an Epi (I just like the axes for the price and quality), but guitar dater didn´t find anything on the serial.

Any help? There you go:

Serial# 1104210476

From experience, I suppose it was manufactured in April 2011 (1104), am I correct? And what abaout "where"?

Thank you.

Hi all,

this is my first post here (aside from the introduction page) and i am enjoying all of the posts.

I looked up my Gibson Les Paul Epiphone number 198050195 but it wasn't recognized.

The number is on the headstock and is ink stamped on.

Aparently it is an Epiphone limited edition, it has the stamp on the back of the headstock, the one with the Euro symbol E.

Thanks for having me here.

Best regards

Lew

I guess the first is an "I" and not a "1"

then it would be made May 98 at the korean Saein factory

Yes, you are right and i was wrong.

Maybe i need new glasses

Is this guitar of any value? it was part of an inheritance and i want to insure it.

Thanks for the reply

Worth :-k

probably no more or less than any other Epi LP standard...250-350 USD

Wow, i thought it was worth more than that, i forgot to mention that i am in Canada and even our ice cube prices are inflated ](*,) .

My father once told me that he paid over 400 for it, that was then.

Thank you kindly.
