Probably one of the nicest looking Special II models that Epiphone has produced and it comes with the new Ceramic Plus pickups, which I know nothing about. The really cool thing about this guitar, though, is that it comes with the Shadow pickup-ring E-tuner like you see on the Ultra models. Thats is just awesome in and of itself. I dont normally get excited about Les Paul Special II's and signature guitars, but this tuner is such an awesome move for Epiphone to include on a non-Ultra guitar. I really hope that they decide to keep putting these tuners on more models. I still might, and do the same mods to it as my 1995 Special II (SH-6 bridge, stock SAM SUNG neck, 50s out-of-phase wiring, new nut, tuners, etc. etc. etc...). I had heard the tentative release date was late June, but since hearing that, I had heard it will be in September. Does anyone know when it will actually go on sale? Thanks in advance!
