  1. I picked one up from a Craigslist seller in San Diego in March for $1650. Good + condition, not mint by any means. It sat for weeks at $1800, $1750, $1700. I figured once he brought it down one more time, someone would snatch it up, so I made sure that someone was me.
  2. AJ all the way! This coming from a guy who owns one of each. JMHO, that cherry finish on the Bird takes a bit of getting used to. My Bird has the Honeyburst finish, which looks more like a guitar whose finish has aged and mellowed over time.
  3. Thanks for the link, I couldn't find this anywhere!
  4. Couldn't find an answer anywhere: what material is the nut on an Advanced Jumbo?
  5. I taught guitar part time for 7 years or so, and I thought that I was going to be teaching teeneage boys to be the next Eddie or Jimi. Wrong! I primarily taught preteen girls how to play acoustic guitar. I must have taught 40 Taylor Swift songs over the years. She is very talented, and IMMENSELY influential.
  6. William Duvall of Alice In Chains is a big Bird fan. Check out this sweet live in studio clip with 3 songs off of his just-released solo album. First song has the guitar a bit low in the mix, but they fix that for the next 2.
  7. Looks just like my 2011 model, which Gibson Customer Service told me was a Honeyburst finish. I love love love mine. Mine had the keystones added before I bought it, I think it adds a sweet vintage-y look. Enjoy!
