  1. Wow ,that j 45 with the stencil logo is a special lady ! Perhaps with your info Nick you can verify my old j 35
  2. Wow it`s priced very reasonably , and they were producing j 35`s in the banner era ...1942 . I think it`s awesome, very nice option for a left hand market that is treated sub par most times .
  3. The one running through the Marshal stack.
  4. Like the old adage goes....Some folks have real problems .
  5. Well not to be out done by Slimt ,i ordered 4 of the shiny new 2020 Covid endorsed Historic Gibson line guitars . My stocks are completely shot ,i am now on unemployment insurance and i haven't played a gig for 3 weeks now ,but that said... those guitars should arrive shortly after i am bankrupt and homeless . Cheers .
  6. Hey , something not quite syncopated there with the fingers and the notes ...Milli Vanilli like . Keep working at it Jazz man...i think ?
  7. Makes the neck crack Gearbasher has in his j 45 look like a simple 3 minute fix .
  8. As a matter of fact j45Nick i have had experience with the identical issue and dealt with the shop i purchased the guitar through, and i dealt with Gibson directly . The key here is to contact Gibson directly ,explain the situation and circumstances , , i went through this process in 1995 ...pre computer ..document all contacts made at Gibson and when people there say no ...you ask for their supervisor ,,so on so forth . Be cordial ,polite ,and vigilant... Contact shop where you ordered or purchased the guitar ,explain situation ,ask them to please make contact with Gibson representatives, and or connections . Do Not Take No For An Answer , Make contacts through phone calls and e mail. Did i say document all contacts ! This is a quality issue ...say it ...Quality issue .Don`t take no for an answer The repair work done at Gibson was top notch and completely unnoticeable , 25 years later repair is completely unnoticeable... Best wishes .
  9. Hello Gearbasher ,DO NOT do what jepzed recommended...Gibson is the place to get it repaired if you live in America as the C.I.T .I.E ,S regulations are tricky hoops to jump through if you are in Canada . Try Gibson first . Good luck
  10. L.G.2 ,and a beauty at that . Tommy still has great hair !
  11. Surely can`t underestimate Warrens guitar companion on this recording . Neil ,in his second or third prime ...nailing the harmony ,blowing the harp and doing what he does .....rocking !
  12. R.I.P Warren ,you were a beast of a song writer .
  13. In the very first post ,Shardin explains ...at some point the guitar was sent to Gibson Kalamazoo for work ... Was it sent to Martin ? Those herringbone binding look familiar...She`s not a spec Gibson
  14. From the photo the top looks pretty cool ,kinda the late 60`s black j 45 look . Are you talking u.s dollars ? Also the brace seen through the sound hole seems to be awfully thick for a 48 -49 ...
  15. Hello Shardin , more pictures of the bracing inside the guitar, back ,sides and top ...if you can get a small mirror in there would be more helpful . Looks like the neck ,back and sides have been stripped and refinished ...the top has obviously been refinished . Use the mirror to inspect the top from the inside for major repair . Best wishes ...get back with info .
  16. I`ll give ya 2500.00 u.s for it all day long .
  17. Reverb prices are out of control ,and out of mind . Chicago Music Exchange is over the top as well ,perhaps because its world wide ? Try your local Kijiji or Craigslist for more reasonable prices Best price i have seen of late 2500 -2700 Canadian Good time of year to snag one ..people sell for Christmas money ... Happy holidays .
  18. Thanks Nick ,i hope Zomby can weight in on this .
  19. Thanks Nick ,i hope Zomby can weight in on this .
  20. Here a couple pics of my mystery year Gibson . Feed back would be great in helping narrow down the year . Absolutely no serial number or F.O.N . Popsicle stick style side stays . Headstock export ..made in u.s.a stamp . Photo of original tuners ... Shes been rode hard and put away wet .. sounds dry, warm and full .. The neck profile is darn near my 1994 j 45 ..amazing .
