  1. Hi guys, I purchased a Masterbilt DR-500MCE acoustic from Guitar Center. I didn't go there to buy that guitar (I went to check out another acoustic) but loved the sound of the Masterbilt so it went home instead. My problem is that I'm getting a small bit of distortion with all setting in the middle when I record direct (no, it is not clipping anywhere). I've tried playing at a lower volume and it still persist. It's definitely enough to tarnish the recording. I've called Epiphone and they want to send me hours away. I don't want to take it to Guitar Center because I just haven't had the best experience there with repairs. There was work done to this guitar already at guitar center the first week I had it. There was a loud acoustic buzz coming from the Nanomag (something vibrating too much) so he took it off, did something and re-glued it. That buzz has stopped but now I have this issue. No idea if they are related, but I doubt it. Any known solutions to a distorted pickup system? Thanks
