  1. Before doing things like fiddling with your bridge saddle and pins, or anything like that, just experiment with different strings. Tone varies from brand to brand, even made from the same material. John Pearse phosphor bronze will sound a little different from D'Addario, etc. Also, remember that the EJ200 is a jumbo. Jumbos and dreads are loud but also have a bit of midrange scoop. Guitars with smaller bodies will have a bit more of a boxy tone with pronounced midrange elevation ("cut through the mix")
  2. I just bought the same guitar, and I love it. This model comes with a real bone nut and saddle. Congrats on picking up what I believe is the best Epi Hummingbird model out there. It's not on Epiphone's website because it was last year's Limited Edition. This year's Limited is the ebony model.
