  1. Got 2 Eminence George Allessandro GA10 SC64 speakers for my mint 1991 Fender 63 Vibroverb Reissue. Plan to run LP , SG, and Gretsch Setzer 6120 through it once installed. Merry Xmas
  2. Sorry to hear of others troubles. I had nothing but good service. My stand black plastic became sticky, then began reading stories on forums about imminent failure. My double head Herc stand was about 10 years old. No longer had receipt (ordered from musicians Friend with gift card I think ). Googled Hercules customer service number - called and told my story. Gave her some numbers from label on bottom of stand. Said she mail me new one free of charge. Gif I about a week later , new in box. This was about 18 months ago.
  3. I hope Eric Johnson is on his game night you see him. Saw him at our local university about 4 years ago (pre pandemic). Brutally obvious he did not want to be there. He actually asked audience what state he was in. Seemed disappointed in the turnout , so he tuned out. Played only for about an hour (no opening act). Played several songs on PIANO. Who goes to see Eric Johnson play piano?
  4. On 2016 standard SJ-200, believe bridge only has single row of abalone , not double.
  5. Blue cobalt from England ? Looks like mine from Ian McWee at Diamond Bottlenecks. Great selection. Custom made. Great service. His green glass Mateus style ones great heavy glass too http://www.diamondbottlenecks.com/
  6. Another one I liked was called “Dad” from early 2000’s. Starred guy who played Krebbs-first mate to Capt Jack Sparrow, as hapless lead character caught between his dad and his teenage son. Best line : Dad buys some expensive new cologne to up his game. Asks son how he likes it. Son says”what’s it called…Feet?”
  7. Great shop. Awesome place to visit in person. And solid website for online sales. Huge selection of new , used, and vintage in nearly all styles and vendors. Some truly mind blowing stuff (rare late 50’s blond ES 335 on a stand next to couch accessible to everyone to play). Great comfortable layout with both open floor and closed room areas to try gear. And staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Very comfortable vibe that is player friendly. Have purchased one custom SG, Vox AC15 - great service , fair (not bargain price ) , other times visited or inquired on other items with no purchase - felt welcomed each time. Can’t say that for some other well known past and current git shops— really enjoy the midwestern hospitality. But mostly the selection is impressive.
  8. Google Strapkeeper. About $10. Works great on my J200 and Larrivee 12 with endpin jacks. Available direct from company or through the well known guitar stores
  9. Peter Green replaced Clapton in John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers after the Beano album. Check out The Stumble on A Hard Road, the follow up album. His own style. Left the band along with John McVie to form Fleetwood Mac.
  10. Saw him this week. Played telecaster on first song of night (Things Have Changed), piano or voice only rest of night. Arrangements different from originals on many songs , but strong band with 2 guitarists kept it very interesting. Highway 61, Ballad of Thin Man , and It Takes a Train were awesome highlights of show. After first song or two , his voice was strong and clear , even if phrasing / tempo is quirky Never spoke to crowd or introduced band. Never smiled or even looked much at audience. Moved around a lot between piano and center stage , but sings from rather odd crouched , wide legged stance with arms outstretched— like bad back or maybe Parkinson’s type changes. in all , a good show and glad I was there.
  11. My 2016 came with gold Grover rotomatics. Historical photos show mix of Grover roto and pearloid tulip klusons through years. Bob Dylan’s basement tapes sj200 and George Harrison’s late era Beatles both had Grover rotos, fwiw
  12. Saw them six months ago, mostly as gift to my wife who always liked them. In reality , big gift to both of us as it was among best live shows ever saw. 3 original members , plus fantastic lineup of players BIG sound , tons of energy, tons of movement on stage, many many hits. Guitarist was great—has been with band for 20 years, channeled the TK style during the big numbers. Played a green LP for about half the show along with a Tele Custom. Couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed it. In fact, seeing them again this month.
