  1. Sez the man with the red guitar๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š
  2. I had "seen"them on all the big box websites the M120 is foreign made the M20 is made in the USA in California .(think Cรณrdoba )! I was at a small shop here in the St. Louis area (Webster groves) Music Folk and it was on the wall, and so I picked it up and bame That little jewel came home with me! Never saw one in the realworld until then, only on line. Worth a look imo sweetwater has a very good return policy.
  3. I just got a Guild M20 great little guitar wonderful neck and can't believe how much volume this thing makes Built in California all mahogany . I can't seem to put it down.๐Ÿ˜ Love'n it.
  4. I'll et ya know mine arrives Friday from Sweetwater. Will, use it saterday night at a function. (If your not getting paid is it a gig?) I'm retired I don't get paid for anything anymore.......
  5. Wonderful topic. I'm more a guitar buyer then collector , I just never sell....so far. I have 13 guitars 3 electric and 10 acoustic. Now a days I mostly play only at Mass every week and at "house parties" the electrics are hardly used anymore. I take which ever one captures me during the week of practicing for Sunday. Also which ever is my latest acquisition tends to get more attention. I stumbled upon a new Guild M-20 at a shop that was getting my new DIF for a setup and I couldn't leave that place without it. I wasn't thinking about a new guitar it just jumped into my hands and it belonged there. Guitars are funny that way.........at least to me.
  6. I have never been disappointed in any product from Bose. They are pricy but imo you get what you pay for. This S1 looks like it's a great product and would be a great fit in a lot of circumstances. Be interested in what you think after you check it out Murph.
  7. I take' em all off give the fret board and neck a clean and polish. I have always done it like that Habits I guess.๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š
  8. Red I must thank you for that. Around here ,at my house, It wasn't officially Christmas until my wife put that song on the stereo, played by the King of course, as we decorated the Christmas tree. I loved your rendition and your words hit so close as this is the first Christmas with out my wife of 47 years with us. Merry Christmas Red and Maple never sounded so so good to these ears. After I listened to you I played it on our stereo and all is well Its Christmas again thanks Red.๐Ÿ˜‡
  9. A very Merry Christmas to all my fellow form citizens . I find a refuge here when I want escape from the work-a-day world. Thanks to all who share there love of music and Gibson. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽธ
  10. 455..........................in Doggie years...... Woof woof woof....... 4/20/52 a very good vintage I feel๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. Great work Sal, you inspire me to stretch a little more thanks for putting yourself out there . Love Tom Petty you did justice to that one.
  12. Fantastic trip, on your way back east after Portland add a stop in Bozeman Mt (close to Yellowstone must see) check out where the wood is turned into guitars and Music Villa great shop lots a good wood there. Gibson is doing custom orders again so order it your way and pick it up yourself...... Happy hunting!!
  13. I bought a brand new 1998 SJ 200 and over the years it has mellowed The sound today is much better appreciated to my ears. Of course my ears have mellowed also so........ It's been a fine guitar from new to now. I can say it has also been fun to experience the transition from a maple tree to a guitar all these years later.
  14. With a difference of 150 Get the one you like playing the most or buy'em both๐Ÿ˜‹
  15. I've had a Fishstick and I have the Bose now with the tone match b2 module.the fishman was adequate for a solo and occasional duo but when it went to 3 and 4 the Bose was the ticket. Quality, sound, ease of setup and it gets it done. The only con is its expensive but ya get what ya pay for.........if your lucky. No regrets here. If you got the dough get the Bose it won't disappoint. Jmhofwiw
