  1. My new Fender smells like freedom. I don't have any Gibsons. Just an Epi Lucille.
  2. Does it have a Gibson decal that smells a little like fried rice?
  3. I used to keep harmonicas in my car so I could jam and drive.
  4. It has a click-in. Doubt any programming could be added easily but it could be used for a jam.
  5. There are no hard rules like a lot of music related things. Personally, I do it the way you describe. Especially reverb, I want to apply that to the master channel during mixing if possible so all instruments exist in the same virtual space.
  6. Oof: "A single written by Bonta Seishi and composed by himself. " Can't you sue "Wing Japan"? Or no way to prove it? Love the slide jam, little Gilmour flavor there I think.
  7. More specific instructions (now that I'm in front of a PC) 1. Locate the file in Google Drive 2. Click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the thumbnail for the file 3. Click Share ==> Share 4. Click the dropdown menu below General Access and choose Anyone with the link 5. You can leave it set to Viewer access 6. Click Copy Link 7. Click Done 8. Come back here and post the link Note: Choosing "Anyone with the link" makes it truly a public document. BUT nobody will have the link unless you give it to them (it won't be published anywhere). If you post the link here and one of the members passes it on to an outside party, now they can download the file. No restrictions other than having access to the link.
  8. Click the Share button and set it to "Public" (if you dare). Then we won't need to log in and ask for access. Then click "Share Link". Paste the link here. Viola.
  9. Yes, host it somewhere: Dropbox Google Drive One Drive ....etc.
  10. Very nice, what format? Here is something I just made, turns out it's in the key of WTF.
  11. I'm not saying I invented this test, but I didn't hear it anywhere else. This is my test of how solid a neck is. Obviously any guitar with a trem is disqualified, hard tails only: Play these 2 notes. Open A string 4th fret G string Play the note on the 4th fret (B) and bend it a full step up to C# So now you have an A on bottom and a C# on top (nice, ya?). Now do it again and listen close to that A string. Does it go flat at all? Do it again and do the bend on the higher note but don't strike that string. Just push the G string up and listen to the A closely. How much does your A string change when you bend the note? a) No change at all b) Went a little flat c) Went a lot flat EXAMPLES: Epiphone Lucille (b) Fender Telecaster American Professional II (a)
  12. It's like the possum of guitars - so ugly, it's cute.
  13. The old way to make "baked maple". Get baked repeatedly for a few decades and blow the smoke at your tele. Seriously though, what happened? Looks like a pack of cheese that was left open/exposed to air.
  14. I identify as whatever scares you. If you're an elephant, I'm a mouse. If you're a bunny, I'm an owl. If you're from Florida, I'm an education. Etc etc ....
  15. yeah mostly grey here too, never seen a red one in person
  16. Are black squirrels common in your area? Mostly not seen in my area but I mentioned it here once and apparently it's super common in other areas.
  17. Someone's been spending too much time reading conspiracy theories over at Fox "news".
  18. These 2 guitars are the same exact price on Sweetwater right now, both a steal IMO ($1,799.99): Option1: Gibson Les Paul Special - TV Yellow Option 2: Fender American Professional II Telecaster - Butterscotch Blonde with Maple Fingerboard I was really on the fence, but I ended up with the ugly Telecaster. If it's good enough for ... [insert a million names]
  19. The pickguard-guards do a pretty good job, but for proper protection of that, you really need to install a pickguard-guard-guard on the pickguard-guard.
  20. 5 watt version looks amazing for home recording - youtube audio here but that sure does sound good.
  21. Ok I was struggling to find how that would be useful (it's different than clone in FL too) - apparently it's a way to save on CPU usage. Good to know in case I ever hit that problem. I have in the past but not since I upgraded my PC.
  22. Ah ok, must be a difference in terminology. In FL I would just right-click and choose "Clone".
  23. MIDI is mostly used for controlling external devices these days as far as I know. I haven't used MIDI in a long time. Ugh I hate bouncing tracks for that reason. The Beatles bounced tracks because they only had 4-16 total. Those limitations are pretty much gone now.
