Hi,
I’ve been having problems with the pcb wiring in my les paul, and decided to just tear it all out and hand wire everything, but still using the original output jack, pickups and switch.
The pickups and output switch are giving me no trouble, but for some reason, the switch has 5 wires coming from it?
In the switch cavity, there’s only 4 wires, red, blue, green and black, but when they emerge in the control cavity there’s a second black wire?
Does anyone know what’s going on? Should i just ground them both?
I’ve seen this problem a couple of times on other forums but no ones ever got a response.
