WIll phantom power drain it then modoc_333??

HI, well its kind of a general problem, using different PA desks over the year in various practice rooms, but also if i DI at a gig it does this too. Through my amp I have never had a low warning light.

I have an Epi EJ200ce with the Sonic EQ, when I plug and play through my marshall acoustic amp, the batteries last for ever when I plug into a PA desk they drain more and I have to replace a LOT more often! Why is this? thanks
