I'm trying to replace the trussrod cover on a '98 LeGrand with a "LeGrand" insignia. Does anyone have any idea of what the font is?

Not sure why it's taken me so long to realize the skinny neck profile on my 2018 335 is not for me. What are the alternatives for a fatter neck, Gibson or otherwise? Gibson ES-335 '59? I don't recall if the Heritage H-535 was much different. Thank you for any suggestions.

Any guesses or info on why the serial # on the inside label and the headstock do not match up on a 2018 ES-330. Serial is 12147714 and the actual headstock stamp says 2018. They were not making these in 2017, I assume. Is this a simple issue of manufacturing the guitar and stamping serial # ahead of actual release year? ..I can contact Gibson Customer Service tomorrow, I suppose...

Nice pics above. Another owner on YouTube said these 80's are not laminate, but solid maple? ... I purchased an '83, on its way from Michigan. Wondering if this is true. And did the factory stop with the e logo in any particular year?

Does "flamed maple" mean laminate? I know the top is carved spruce and the mahogany is also solid, but not sure about the maple backs. Thank you for any insight. Tom

Does anyone have an opinion on the quality of a Kalamazoo made ES 347, one year before Gibson moved to Nashville? Interesting reading on how the factory slowly reduced to fewer employees and lower production by this time. Just wondering if the quality of production also diminished as they started to close down. Is it typical that the neck heel--joint underneath as it abuts the pickup--is rough or unfinished? I'm assuming it's placed on the body as raw wood, but not sure...
