  1. I hate to see any guitar destroyed (Unless Pete Townshend does it).
  2. I figured he change it to David "Weave" Roth (as in hair).
  3. Impressive! I never saw that footage before or realized he's been around that long doing his thing.
  4. When I saw the title (re-purposing) of this post, the first thing I thought of was using non-functional tuners as a key rack.
  5. What do you call a fake noodle? An "Impasta"
  6. It's oddly amusing seeing Country music going through a commercialized (Hair Band) phase right now....who would've thought?
  7. That was a rather interesting setup with the EMG's. That natural mahogany looks nice--if there is a way to carefully blend/match the screw holes, maybe you could go with a darker finish.
  8. Thanks! I never realized how lightweight and easy SG's are to play...like an old baseball glove. You also have an interesting array of guitars--A LP or SG equipped guitar with P-90's is on my bucket list.
  9. Yes, I guess a lot of folks from the record producers to even fans were put off....guess that didn't last too long.
  10. I enjoyed watching it as well. Some have knocked them for the 80's transition but in retrospect, they understood the opportunity to capitalize when MTV was still in its infancy--they extended their audience mainstream and added 10+ years to SRO crowds. No matter what, they are a grounded cool blues/rock trio with a sense of humor!
  11. Greetings! I recently picked up a VERY used faded SG on Craigslist so I figured it's time to hop on here and learn more about it. I've started playing guitar after joining the Air Force in "88 and have played on and off in bands the last 30 years. Like many on here I've had my share of multiple guitars (some I should have held on to) and during this pandemic have bought three. So back to the SG: It's my first one and I have to say it's grown on me and for now favor it over the my LP and Strats--I have plans for it so need to post some "before" pics soon. And finally, I enjoy these forums because they avoid discussion on non-sensical topics like politics.....a nice release from reality! 2005 Gibson SG Faded 1992 Fender Stratocaster American Standard Epiphone LP Standard Epiphone 335 Standard Epiphone Special II Seagull Entourage Acoustic Frankenstrat
