I have a Trad Pro V that I could never quite dial in, but high Ewas cut too close to the edge , G string tuning issues, and first fret was was sharp. Had the nut polled and a proper real bone nut put in and properly cut, …………. New guitar!!!! Totally changed the guitar!!!! Now it’s really freaky I pick up a new guitar and almost every nut that I see is a little too high when using the first fret.

I usually am not a Green kinda guy, but, I would ROCK that guitar…

The Grail, well that’s subjective. But when I picked her up and first run up the neck and it happened, yes mildly intoxicating, extremely stimulating, a clarity that was once coveted, but with a bipolar side that would care the **** out of a Strat!!!!!!! Yup, I have one. And I love it. https://imgur.com/a/KJTyRmi I must have played and examined ten or twelve LPs before I took this home. She is PERFECT with the exception of a verrry slight nut issue . Killer sounds, love the saitn finish. Be diligent in searching out your special one..

Without sounding demeaning, have you ever set up a Les Paul before? These are a little different than setting up just your telecaster, a block of wood with a neck on it. They are a bit more involved. String buzz can be pissy, especially this time of year. ( Spring is coming🤗). Take it to a tech and let them get you set up. And then ROCK!!!!! If the tech will allow it watch very carefully it’s kind of a seesaw effect between the bridge and the nut area. It’s hard for me to explain in words I can do it in a short amount of time. You’re good unless there’s some unforeseeable stupid stuff like a twisted neck or something bad. Enjoy the trip!!!!

I looked at eight VERRY THOROUGHLY at GC and bought one, a Trad Pro V , it needs nut work..... cmon Gibson.. I will keep the Guitar and love it, but here really no reason to not center a nut well.........

Frets have been leveled and polished, I am soooooooooo OCD . I also like a low action,

1/8 th to 1/4 turn does it Yup Nashville is verrry humid now and the AC is screamin! I’m sure it had an affect.

I just find it interesting that one day things are perfect and the next day I take out my guitar and the open Low E has a buzz that wasn’t there yesterday. Yes, I am checking the attack of my pick..

Opened up the case on my LP this morning and slight open E buzz.... How often do YOU tweak the truss rod? I swear I think necks are alive sometimes.....

Yup, get the neck dead nuts straight and check for high spots. Tape off,go slowly,polish and restring.

I think i am wearing my Elixers on my Les Paul a little higher so I can dig in and get a bit more sustain. Also bending is easier..

Dude I actually have that kit!! I have used on a Tele and it was great!! A little scared to do that to my Les Paul though😌

Anyone had their LP pleked? I am in a good place with my LP neck, but could be better. I know I could get those strings a little lower and a little cleaner sounding.......
