  1. I did too but they are not. Maybe they were once and were swapped out?
  2. Hi, I'm looking at a second hand ES-335, Gibson Custom, but the certificate of authenticity says it's a 63 ES-335 P and the serial number is the standard reissue style A-30XXX. I've googled and googled but I cannot figure out what the P is for. Anyone? Thanks!
  3. I'm considering a trade for a 2013 '59 ES-335 dot reissue, but while learning to decode the serial number, I found a guitar with the same serial number online: https://www.soundpure.com/p/gibson-59-335-reissue-cherry-semi-hollow-electric-a93129/21236 The obvious explanation is that it's the same guitar, however the tuners are different, and he claims it's all original. Am I right to be confused? Can two guitars have the same serial number? Could one (both) be fake? Thanks very much for any info.
