  1. There is a fantastic album that Robert Fripp recorded with Andy Summer (ex Police) way back in 1984 called "I Advance Masked" not sure if anyone heard of it, all of the tracks on the album are mesmerising but my favourite tracks are "Bewitched" and "Tribe" as in the YouTube links below, kind of trance / experimental music, I have it on CD and still enjoy listening from time to time
  2. As for the book ends https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fender-Stratocaster-Bookends-in-White/dp/B06VTQSKG8/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=fender+guitar+book+ends&qid=1636397826&qsid=258-4403766-1993666&sr=8-1&sres=B06VTQSKG8%2CB07GBRJLK8%2CB06Y24TFD4%2CB003B06BFY%2CB08CV7PCL5%2CB003B0A98Y%2CB000EELFI8%2CB06Y28FTH1%2CB003B03VCK%2CB003B0ABE6%2CB07T675ZJF%2CB00B5LEH8E%2C076037015X%2CB09D7K53P7%2CB00UVOEK2O%2CB0002DUQ0E%2CB0732H5VXK%2CB000B5L0VC%2CB074QR9YS9%2CB003AYK8XW

  14. Hi there and thanks for the reply. Now about the string breaking this has happened on 3 occasions twice on the plain G strings and last time on the low E. the thing is that at the break angle point the string has wrappings to secure the folded part coming from the ball end which is not ball as we all know but a small brass ring. It is at that point that the Ernie Ball M-Steel have failed. Now it is important mentioning that the 3 plain have a silk wrapping over the steel wrapping. the silk gets shredded on the first day exposing the metal wraps and it degenerates from there. See attached pics, these strings are just new and you can tell that some of them are already under stress at the break angle. Also note there are no sharp edges on that bridge it all goes around smoothly its just the way the strings seem to get stressed when going around. Your tip to use electrical wire core is actually a good idea, I have some shrink wrap cables I can use for that purpose. Many thanks for your kind help. Fran
  15. Can someone please recommend the most suitable strings for a wrap around bridge please? i keep getting strings breaking at the point where the string comes over Am I using the wrong strings I like the Ernie Ball M-Steel 10-46 What do you suggest Thanks in advance Fran
