I was gifted my father in-laws 125T, it looks like a new guitar. My question is, did they ever come with chrome hardware?

Serial# is S1770 The string had very little pressure and I tried tune it and broke the high E string.

I was given my father in-laws Gibson 125T. I'm such this is asked a lot, however I would like to date it. What is the best way? I'll take some pic's to share
