  1. I actually like the feel & sound of the SG. I'm disappointed that at this price level, Gibson is sloppy in their finish work. I'm assuming the file marks are easy to remove?
  2. Had a friend look at it today and he thinks that the scratches are actually subtle file marks. Is this common?
  3. Sorry, but unable to capture a clean shot up close with either of my cameras Regardless, I'm assuming this is not part of the VOS treatment. It's not that deep so I'm wondering ifI would be able to remove it (fingerboard scratch at the 10th fret) somehow?
  4. I'll try to take some better ones in the light today. The one on the fretboard looks like a razor blade went across it.
  5. Didn't know about the bleeding being a feature of the VOS, talks for clarifying. What about fingerboard & body scratches?
  6. Just received one of these new as a web purchase. The VOS finish appears as if they left a layer of wax on the guitar/hardware. Not sure about this being desirable? The neck binding has considerable bleed/overspray (see pic). A scratch on the fingerboard at the 8th fret (see pic). And finally, a nice scratch between the pickups (see pic). It's a challenge to capture the last 2 with the camera, but they're there. BTW, I was assured this was not a return. Where's the QA?
