As I understand it there are other factors: On the Super Session album MB is clearly plugged directly into 1 Super Reverb. Live he used Twins as well and sometimes he daisy chained 2 Twins together. Also, I read when MB recorded he used 10's and live he used 9's. 9's being obviously easier to play (bend) and 10's on the recordings for better tone.
