  1. Well I agree with KSDADDY it looks like the real deal to me. It been well used but that looks correct. The studio model is a bit lighter and not full of frills like say a custom version so that maybe what is throwing you off.

  3. I have purchased what looks like a very old gibson firebird guitar from the estate of an 80+ yr old man. Its in its original case I believe as well and am very excited to own it. When looking for the serial numbers on the guitar I can not find any. There looks to be a crack in the area of the neck just under the head stock near the bottom tuner. I believe this is the area for the serial number if it had one? I will attempt to post some pictures of the guitar and case if I can to help in showing you I am looking at. I am not sure if there was maybe a foreign maker of this guitar that could explain the no serial numbers? Well for whatever reason I cant get pics to work. Any advise on identifying this Gibson?
