  1. Hi, tiedemies [from US?], you are the first one to react, but I am sure there are more Gibson Robot Guitar owners with the problem of broken rubber bands. I have tried hard to find rubber bands with the dimensions 0.7 mm (cord size) x 1,3 mm (diameter), but there are none. Really annoying. Someone sent me bands a bit thicker, but they were too long. I tried to shorten them and wanted to glue them together, but it has not worked yet. I have just got Loctite 406 and will have another attempt on glueing. If Loctite works, the next thing to do will be to buy a band sold by the meter and glue my own bands - as I have (like you) some more bands broken. I will keep you informed, if you like. Have a nice day! PS: One thing I read about was to produce bands with a 3D scanner or with plaster cast etc. - if everything else fails, I will try this as I know a dental technician familiar with this.
  2. Hello from Germany, my RG from 2007 worked well until some weeks ago when tuning was impossible. I opened a powerhead and found two problems: --- a very little rubber belt that was broken, and --- different lengths of the cables which are packed in plastic and make the contact from powerhead to headstock. Tronical offers only complete powerheads, but I want to repair mine. I have not yet found a belt that fits and not yet a way to make the cables the same length. Who has an idea, who can help? Many thanks in advance. COBER (I do not have computer access now and will upload pics later if necessary.)
