  1. I think the neck is original but the bridge is a Bill Lawrence HB-L w/ circuit board. I dont know much about it and im trying to find out what other people think of it. Id like a more tradition p/u based on a PAF.
  2. Thanks! what are peoples thoughts on the Bill Lawrence pick up? I was thinking of switching to a PAF style. I like moderate output pick ups.
  3. Just bought a 1990 ES335. Can anyone tell me what pickups these are?
  4. I've owned about 1/2 a dozen used/vintage Gibsons but this is my first ES335. I absolutely love it! Does anyone know what kind of pickups these are? The guitar is a 1990.

    wiring question

Someone just told me its the difference between 50s wiring and Modern wiring. Can anyone confirm that?
  7. Hi, I just bought a 1990 Gibson ES335. It is absolutely killer but I think something might be wrong with the wiring. When the toggle switch is in the middle position, I don't really hear a difference when I turn either of the pickups down and when I turn (either) one all the way down, the guitar is now muted. Is this normal for 90's wiring? Every other Les Paul that I've owned, if I had it in the middle position and turned the neck pickup all the way down, I still 100% bridge pick up just as if I was in the bridge position on the toggle. Thanks! Bob
