J45nick thank you! I’ve always wondered what year it was from. Guitar came from my dad who bought it new and pretty much forgot about it. Sat in a case under his bed for years. Still sounds incredible. Any tips on how to best preserve these guitars? I want to keep it forever but id still to play it!

You guys seem to really know your J50s. Hoping you could shed some light on mine. No idea what year it is. Serial number is 10465 and j50 adj bridge is ink stamped inside sound hole. https://ap904.imgbb.com/

I’m in a similar situation and cannot tag a year on my old Gibson. J50 adj. bridge is ink stamped but the serial number stamped into the back of head is 10465. Any ideas?
