  1. 40 Years ago I purchased an SG Firebrand new from a dealer. Now I'm thinking of selling, but I just noticed there's no "made in USA" stamp on it that I can find anywhere? Is it possible that not all gibson guitars were stamped this way? The serial# is stamped and indicates a build date of January 9, 1980. It has the exposed front humbucking pickup coupled with the super humbucking in the rear with one cream and one black coil. It has Grover tulip tuning pegs, but they are not chrome. The truss rod cover says " SG Firebrand". The wood is mahogany and has the Antique Mahogany finish. If this is a 'Deluxe' shouldn't the truss cover say that? How come it's not stamped made in usa?...or was it inked made in usa? The dealer I bought it from had his store logo stuck on the back of the head, just below the serial number....possible maybe any ink stamp that was there has been wiped clean. Any way, I'd appreciate any clarification folks can offer on what I have here. Thanks
