  1. I have this guitar as well actually. I use MusicNomad f-one fingerboard conditioner. Works pretty well on the walnut. To clean I use MusicNomad mn100 guitar detailer. Works good on the satin finish. Picked this stuff up on Amazon
  2. Sir QM much appreciated! I know I’ve come to the right place to get such valuable relevant info knowing it needs an arc is especially helpful. Taking a step back and realizing the tolerances of an organic instrument has been important for me as well moving forward I definitely have more confidence I can get the guitar step up in a satisfactory manner
  3. Thank you QM, the information is helpful I’ve been researching how to properly set up the truss rod, with some success. My knowledge runs out however, when no more relief can be set the truss rod runs out of adjustment, but the strings still buzz somewhat.
  4. Thanks for the feedback this guitar has been difficult to set up well. I thought the mediums would get rid of string buzz with a properly adjusted truss rod. It got rid of the buzz on the high strings now I’m getting it on the low e string about halfway down the fret board. im thinking it is because of the low humidity but not sure. Any other tips to possibly try? Thanks in advance
  5. Thanks for the sage like nature of your informative post. Gives me piece of mind knowing this.
  6. the j45 body shape is a personal fav. The fact that it real to me, not knowing what to look for otherwise is all I can offer. I especially liked the above comment about the walnut used in your guitar. Personally very helpful. to original poster sounds like you got a great price on a nice guitar with little chance of it being a fake. The best course of action will probably telling over time if any additional info comes available. Until then I don’t see any reason not to enjoy your new instrument. Cheers
  7. Hello All- those above Gibsons look great! Until recently I owned a nylon string classical Gibson. For something different I went with a g45 Studio. I’ve always viewed Gibsons acoustics as being high quality. stay warm and keep strumming!! ~Zac in NH
  8. Hello All- after many years owning a vintage nylon string Gibson classical I went for an entry level Gibson g-45 studio steel string acoustic, for something different. My question is about knowing whether there is any issue keeping it strung with medium gauge strings over time? thanks for any feedback you can provide.
