[Early Custom Shop ES-335 Reissues - COA?]

I recently acquired a 1998 ES-335 Reissue '59 guitar. It came with all the hang tags, etc, but no COA. Did they have them for this model way back then?

I've kinda lurked on this and other sites for a while, so decided to join in the fun. I started playing a little while ago, but haven't had much time to practice. I am a software engineer by trade, but nearing retirement, so plan on doing more playing and collecting top quality American guitars (Gibson of course!).
