  1. I was told/taught to NEVER try to pry the shaft apart as it'll break every time. The material they're made of doesn't stretch & bend. It cracks and breaks.
  2. I emailed Gibson yesterday and asked for this diagram after spending over an hour searching for one online. None that I found showed the stereo & mono output jack wiring. So I emailed Gibson and asked them for a copy and they obliged. So I thought I would share it since I had such a hard time finding one. Hopefully it can be used as reference material in the future. I figured I'd post it here in case anyone here ever needs it. Hopefully it will show in search results.
  3. When I asked Alan Paul, he said the only person left that would possibly know is their manager, Willie Perkins. I couldn't find any contact info for Mr Perkins lol. And I didn't ask Alan for it, either
  4. Does anyone here know this guy Mike Ladd at Missing Link Audio www.mlapedals.com? They sell a lot of Duane related pickups and pedals and one specific page makes the claim that the "Sound of Fillmore East" are the pickups Mike wound for Duane and he sells exact clones of those pickups. Supposedly Mike was the first person to offer custom wound pickups back in the late 60s? Early 70s? That's the claim, anyway. If this is true, why isn't his name ever mentioned in Duane's or Allman Brothers history? Or custom wound pickup history in general? In all my years, I've never read or hear his name mentioned with Duane's or Fillmore a single time except for when I found his website. Is there any way this can be verified today, other than through the only person who tells this story, Mike Ladd? Anyone got any insight on this? I even asked Alan Paul, Allman Brothers Historian and expert and he doesn't know who the guy is, either. If Alan doesn't know this history, how likely is it that it happened? <shrug> Anybody??
  5. Working much, much better now. Thank you!
  6. Using landscape mode is a joke. This thing covers MY ENTIRE SCREEN. COME ON YALL.
  7. What is going on? Why is the top Taskbar thing covering HALF THE PAGE? It'd be nice if it got fixed? I can't even see what I'm posting?
  8. My guess is it was just a shorter magnet with the same specs. Why would you automatically assume it's a different grade of alnico?
  9. So they have a blender pot to blend the middle pickup in at any time? Is that it? Not that out of the ordinary. At least not to me.
