  1. Hello all - Late to the game here, but hoping you all can help. I recently purchased what I think is a J-200 Jr, but it is labeled "J-200M." It was made in '91 and has (wait for it) koa back and sides. I cannot find another one anywhere. Any ideas on if this guitar is a unicorn or if others exist in limited numbers?
  2. Hi -

I stumbled across your profile and saw where you had some production info about the Gibson J-200 Jr.

  3. I'm looking for any knowledge/insight you all can give into the Gibson J-200M series. Best I can tell, Gibson only makes these guitars every few years and in limited runs. My local music store has a 1991 Gibson J-200M. Spruce top. Maple neck. Flamed koa back and sides. I've searched online and cannot find another like it. What can you tell me about 1990s and J-200M's? Is this guitar one of a kind?
