Hello, I was handed down a guitar from a family member. It appears to be a 1979 Les Paul Custom. Is there anyone here knowledgably enough to tell from some photos if it us real and the year? I do not really dabble in guitars of this age so it is somewhat foreign to me. I know the humbuckers have been replaced. If real, is it bad or good to fix up guitars this old. The guitar plays great but is in rough shape as it was a guitar used for travel/shows. Thanks!
