  1. I don't know why, but this is really pissing me off. I went to one of my previous replies to a post and clicked on the Avatar. My original account is still there showing I've been on since 2012 and have about 2400 posts, but for some reason I can't log in under that account????
  2. That's funny. I bought a MIM Strat one time that had the plastic film over the pickguard and it might have been a year I played it before some of it started to peel up and then I removed the rest of it. Sometimes that film is very hearty and sometimes not so much. Beautiful looking 335 by the way 👍
  3. Oh and of course my avatar disappeared and when I tried to re-load that it said the file was too big. Getting the feeling they just don't want me around anymore.😭
  4. I don't think it would hurt much as long as the tuners work well and it stays in tune. It's not going to add value to have vintage style tuners on a studio, but I don't think it would hurt. I'd be more concerned about drilling holes in a headstock that has a repaired crack (don't want to re-open the crack).
  5. So a couple days ago I logged in and when I replied to a post the sight started asking me goofy security questions (you know click on all the boxes that have a street light) then it asked me to re-log in and when I did it said my password or username were not correct and wouldn't let me in. I fooled around with it yesterday for quite awhile with no success so thought I would just wait until today. When I tried to log in it said someone already had my username (YES - ME). Finally had to create a new account just to log on?? So after being a member for about 10 years and having 1000+ posts I guess I am now a newbie? Anyone else having this problem?
  6. That is a beauty Steve and sounds like you are getting it dialed in. We really do need a group shot now that your collection is complete. Does Gibson still have that program where if you buy 6 more of their guitars they send you a free pick?
  7. Got the Martin Flexible Core strings I ordered last week and put them on my Collings today. I like them. Like Jinder said they are a little bright right now, but I'm anticipating they will calm down some with use. No noticeable drop in volume or tone and I can feel that they are a little easier to fret. So far - so good!
  8. WOWEEEE that is one beauty of a 335! Congratulations - a great find and I'm sure it has all the ICONIC tones the 335 is known for 🙂 I've sort of lost track now of your collection, it's been expanding so rapidly of late, if you can fit them all in the frame a nice family shot would be good! Does Gibson still have that program when you own six or more of their guitars they send you a free Gibson pick?
