    Amps

HI there my friend and welcome. Whjat makes this question HARD to answer is not knowing what tone you prefer. But I'll go with NORMAL answer for ya. It is al old sayying that GIBSON guitars and FENDER AMPs arelike soup and sadnwhich. But first I must ask you do you want GRIT or do you want that traditrional sound of warmth , beatifull clean notes that ring like a church belll or that ROCK N ROLL CRUNCH. FOr what yo uare doing to give you the BEST tone yo need an amo from 15-under 20 watts.. I would suggest TWO amps 1...The PRINCVETON REVERB Re-issue though it says 899.99 it can be bbought for under 700.00 say 625.oo 15 watts, reverb and still useing ^l or 6 V tubes, The other the 65 DELUXE REVERB re-isue it seel for 999.99 but can beboufght for about the same as the PRINCTON keep inmind used they can be bougfht for 500.00 and inder and they DO have 4 year transferable warranty....so beforey a buy get the numbers off the AMP call Fender and see when it went into use, and see how much time you have left on your warrarnty. Now what youllget tonally is a warmth , and tonal quality that is SECOND to none, Being LOW WATTAGE is a GOOD thing do NOT think MORE watts means better sound , just more volume and my DELUXE REVEB at 22 watts you could never trurn to 10 and be in the same room What you get with the low wattage amp is the easy capability since you matched it correcly and BTW the DELUXE Reverb has been used on more albums than ANY AMP in history next to the 57 CHAMP or DELUXE/ I would have mentioned the BLUES JR but it has been ruined for profit. They;ve made it cheap offered so many models that ya never know which ones to get some are GUITAR CENTER models only...so I would stay away from the BLUES JR,. also they put in EL-34 or 84's SO what happens with the amps I suggested for you AS you turn it up it will get to a certain point that the TUBES SATURATE and automatically it beging to get gritty and the more voume you add the grittier it sounds but it in a good way NOT DISTORTION but a nice GROWL..... Back in the day when we all used 100 watt MARSHALL"S or 4 Super Reverb tied together was due to the fact that most clubs had small PA;s and all that was micd was the drums n the vocals and the Guitar sound came from the STAGE today everything is mic;d so you can get away with a lower wattage amp this giving you better conrto=ol of your tone. TONE NOT VOLUME , volume can be gotten at the board TONE is the Guitar, amp and how you manipulate the strings. Now if your style ss HARD ROCK,thrash rock etc... you may wanna condsider a SUPER REBERB at 50 watts or PEAVEY CLASSIC with 50 watts a GREAT AMP The MARSHALLL HAZE available in a 15 watt head and for 299.00 you ca nget a cabinet w 4x10's. It is also available in a 40 watt COMBO but to much wattage. I recently got limited editon CLASS 5 MARSHALL..... if you get this you'll LOVE it. For under 399.99 and a few bucks for an upgraded transformer from MERCURY MAGNETICS ask for PAUL.... he can set ya up with a tranny to replace it and have the sound of a BLUESBREAKERR one of MARSHALL's BEST AMPS EVER It will hve the GRITTY SOUND at 1 on the volume....IMO why sound gritty all the time, You paid good money for a GIBSON known for it's tone...USE IT, LOVE IT, EXPLORE IT I have been playing for 45 years, been on 25 albums, many world tours and European tours and getting ready for a BLUES CRUISE now. I would suggest taking YOUR guitar to a store and try each amp I just mentioned also check out the PEAVEY CLASSIC 30 and DELTA BLUES, long with AMPEG REVERB ROCKETS HONSTLY no-one can tell you the right amp for you...ONLY YOU KNOW THAT ANSWER for ONLY YOU KNOW what you want from the amp. The few I sugested should get ya on the right track. If ya go to a GC remember what ever itis advertised say 500.00 it can be bought for the high 300.00 low 400.00. SO HAGGLE and you'll get it. If I can be of any help for you Please sendme a message and I'llbe happy to answer any questions you have. ALso if you MUST use pedals to achieve your tone it is OVERSIZED AMP and not the right one, The right amp will break up when ya want.Pedals are just small synthesizers that screw our natural tone and waste ruin your sound ,,,you might as well have bought a EPI LESPAUL 100 for 350.00 and a solid state amp and a DISTORTION PEDAL. On stage my pedal board is simple....a wah, VOODOO LABS SPARKLE DRIVE, FUZZ FACE and a SONIC MAXIMIZER....and I use P90;s for they are the longest running pup ever and still going strong and give you that Vintage sound but also a nice gritty sound when pushed. When you message me I can sedn you someODF:s that willhelp you get the right amp for whaty you want !!!!! TiLLTHEN I'LL AWAIT YOUR MESSAGE AND GOOD LUCK...TAKE YOUR TIME N GET WHAT YA WANT REMEMBER IF IT HAS TO BE AT 6 TO GET YOUR TONE CHANCES ARE YOU WON;T BE PLAYING IT AT HOME St James. PS.I APOLOGIZE FOR MY SPELLING i HAD EYE SURGERY AND CAN;t SEE TO WELL PIC 1...A super reverb AND A twin reverb PIC 2...orange tiny terro excellent amp 7 AND 15WTTSA ...make that grEat amp
  9. Check your messages, sentt last ngjht at midnight.

  10. HELLO MY FRIEND, I am sending ou a message. Good t hear from you.

    St james

  11. Ya might wanna take em out and check em...I have a set in a 70's 335 and they put out 12.6 and 13.1 repectively and a 2008 RD which have basically the same output. You may be experiencing a BAD pot or capacitor in your ax , as Dirty Finger are the HIGEST OUTPUT pup Gibson offers You can check this if you have a LOW OHM reading mutli -testor if not any Radio Shack seel these for under 20.00 and you can test them youself before spending any money on new pups. Yyou need only cross from the two connection on the pup while it is NOT plugged in to get the ohm;s ( resistance) if is is less than 10 there's a problem in your electronics. I hope that helps ya....if ya need more help in performing this test the bok THE LES PAUL HAND BOOK or DAN ERLWHINE BOOK OF GUITAR REPAIR will help you and are two great books for the do it at home guitarist who prefers to do his own set ups and wire his own ax and all maintainece. For 20.00 each tese two books are a wealth of knowledge. Hope that helps ya and I hope I was able to help you sort of your porblem....if you bought thepups NEW they should be warrantiedif installed by a GIBSON TECH ONLY, if they camw in the guitar and you bought it NEW it should be covered by Gibson and should be able to be replaced under warranty but what they'll be replacing I believ will be a pot or capacitor but if you must get a new pupget it in 4 conductor so you have several other wiring possibilities giving you the ability to split the humbucker or put it in and out of phse with push pull pots making your ax much more versatile. Alsp the powerof a Dirty Fiongers is ther allthe time jst like the voltage in yor ouse it;s right there at the recaptcle waiting. So what gives you the distortion that is normal in a Dirty Fingers pups is the Volume switch on BOTH the AX and the AMP toget NORMAL DISTORTIOn yo must overdrive the amp which if you play anythin gover 30 watts is gonna be deafening. I have played out for 35 years using a 65 Deluxe Reverb which is 22 watts I hope that helps ya ST JAMES please excuse my spelling and useof caps as I have some cataracts in my eye and in really is hard to seein the am
  12. HEY Guys,' I have purchased BOTh these models for a couple of my students at my discount to save them a few bucks. Before jumping on these pleaseremembber these are GC ONLY guitar meaning they got to spec everything. Someof the bodieson bioth were 2-3 pieces glues together cutting down on sustain and resonation and promoting potential heaving neck sweiing for drying to FAST . That is what made the older 50's,. 60. 70, GIBSON SO GOOD was the slow drying technique which took up tpo 3-5 years for some woods. For a guy who wants to try out a P-90 equipped guitar the Tribute is pretty good...It can be purchased as low as 700.00. It comes with an Orange drop vs the cheap capacitor they put inother guitar to help with tone and it does. AS long as the polayer who purrchases this nows it can ot beuses as a GO TO guitar but a practice and a couple songs at a gig it will serve you well.. As far as the Jr.....I found the weight differences to be HUGE betwen 3 models....yet though I am a HUGE p-90- fan and was a bit disappointed in what I saw once plugged in and fooliong around with the push/pull pots which I agree gives it more versatiltiy it diod not sound bad at all. My biggest concern is the loss of sustain and that crystal clear tone of a p-90, but that ;s what I like about my Jr and this can not be compared toa Original 57 but it does have it;s place again my only concern is the 3 piece body and the fact that it is a GC ONLY distributed guitar. It basically has the grade of wood in an EPI not that that is bad but it is not that of a Gibson. AS long as the coming humidity does not swell these two FAST DRIED guitars in the upcoming summer for the price you'll enjoy it.....If you decide you prefer a P-90 BARE KNUCKLES make a probably the best HUMBUCKER sized P-=90 in ther Missippi Queen and ManHattan P-90's and but you will lose the 4 condutor push /pull capabilities as I just ordered one for a BFG touse inthe BRIDGE. I hope this helps you guys on the fence... the JR;s were on sale for 599.00 fopr presiodents day and from what my buddy who is a GC manager told me that was COST toget the word out but they can stillbe had for700.00 if ya have the breathe to haggle and the same price willget ya a tribute if they begin to stock them up but as long as they are fetching 1200.oo on EBAY sadly you'll pay ful lprice. I hope I was able to help thoseon the fence....GO FOR IT !!! BTW please excuse any spelling problems and useof caps I have cataracts problem and it;s real hard to see in the AM. ST JAMES
  13. I have purshcased both the 50's and 60's model and one of the NEW JR's for friends whom I give lessons due to the discounts I get. You should certainly test ride a couple of thme before you choose ,the wieght difference between TWO models can be huge thus affecting the tone of the guitar. Some have bodies of put ogether 3-4 piece bodies. This new way of drying n gluesing is not only terrible for reonation to vibrate theought the one pieve base body, but end up in crack similar to those that appear on an acoustic guitar not properly caerd for. Though a they come with ORANGE DROPS caps inthem and sound rather good...there ability to stay in tune and intonated I'm not sure the reason why but I am thinking that they dried them to much and they are no sucking in humidity like a sponge. DO NOT BE FOOLED these like those NEW JR'S ARE GUITAR CENTER ONLY exclusive's meaning they get to spec the grade of the wood etc. These are NOT the guitar you want if you are gonnaplay out a couple toimes qw week but is a great second guitar or for the guy who wants to try a P-90 equipped ax. I got the new JR for 550.00 and found one that weiged maybe 5 lbs and another that was much lighter, but the time I grabbed the 3rd one and pluggeed itinto a Deluxe Reverb it did NOT sound bad , once again I would prefer the standard Jr with a P-90 but the one I tired was cewrtainly different and withthe puch /pull pots versatile I guess I am an old school LESPAUL JR player and when I thik JR I thiink a P-90 SPECIAL 2 P-90's or 100's. My only consideration and suggestion for you guys is to try a bunch till ya find the one with fee resonation and the best sound. They do sell for 899.00 Now but I am sure a savy buyer can persuade them into gettingone for 750.00 but the Guitar that GC specs are for the BIGGEST profit so quality must suffer. Once again though I would not use this as my go to guitar , it can be used with some enjoyyment as a 1-2 song ax but don;tput your rep on it. Two decent deals....just remeber choose well and upodate the small stuff be ready for some potential neck problems due to the SPEED DRYING but IMHO not a bad deal. Just keep in mind the TRIBUTE is no 56 re-issue and the JR is not made of the same products that the GIBSON LESPAUL JR is , I thought the attraction to a JR was a P-90 and if ya have a LES PAUL you can just put your selector switch to the Bridge ane get the same tone yet have more with a two pup set up. Nothing can beat the quality of the tone froma P-90 hene it;s reason for being the longest lasting and most replicated pick up in history. The same with the JR..... it is not what you would expect but it was different and IMO different gives us different tones thus causing us to be inspired to write differently....that is IMHO the only BIG selling point. I can;t see these every catching on as well as the standard Jr. still i say a fair deal for the money just pick the right one forr you I hope that helps you guys in your decesion making....on a 1- qo the Tribute gtes a 5 and the JR a 6....Just remember GC and it;s rep when buying. St james
  14. YES I HAVE ONE AND THE FRETLESS WONDER 55 LP CUSTOM IS NOT FOR ROCK OR BLUUES IT WAS LES'S DESIGN FOR THE JAZZ PLAYER HENCE THE LOW FRETS. ASLES AND MARY FORD WERE THE NUNBER 1 JAZZ DUET AT THAT TIME. IT;S A VERY CLEAN SOUND,,,NO BENDING ON THIS BABY BUT TALK ABOUT CLEAN QUALITY TONE IT HAS IT....BUT IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A SINGLE P-90 CARVED TOP 55 LP CUSTOM FROM THE CUSTOM SHOP BUT THERE IS ONLY THERE BRIDGE PUP KIND OF LIKE A JR BUT WITH A CARVED TOP/ THERE WERE ONLY 30 MADE BEING GIBSON BACKED I WAS LUCKY TO GET ONE. HOPE THAT HELPS...St James
  15. THE FIREBIRD X IS GARBAGE AND EVRYTHING THAT GIBSDON DOES NOT STAND FOR. What is it witht he neww products division???? From 2009 FLOPS like the NEW CENTURY,MENNACE, VEGAS,THOSE CHIC GUITARS, and putting signautre guitar out for guys who barely have made a name for themselves. FIRE those boys n bring in some new blood. I GOT AN IDEA FORGET ALL THIS ROBOT CRAP and PUT OUT A NICE UN-CHAMBERED STANDARD FOR 1500.00 LIKE YA USED TO DO and BRING BACK THE CLASSIC FOR 1200.00 THERE ARE MORE MODELS OF LES PAULS THAN ONE CAN FIGURE OUT. CUT THE CRAP AND GET BACK TO WHAT WORKS THIS FIRBIRD IS A CORSS BETWEEN A DEAN DIME BAG DARRYL POS, ROBOT, FENDERS ROLAND vg, AND THE OLD RD WITH THE MOOG CRAP HOW DID THEY WORK OUT FOR YA IN SALES????? JUST MAKE A NON REVERSE FIREVBIRD WITH P-90 AND MIMI HUMS N LEAVE IT ALONE.... SHEESH YOU GUYS REALLY SCREWED THE POOCH ON THIS ONE. MY 2 CENTS BUT FROM A GUY WITH A 65, 66, 69, 76 FIRBIRDS !!! St James
  16. GC can pull up the sale in the computer and get ya a new receipt, you'll need it and proof that you registered when ya bought it and a print out from your computer will suffice. GET IT SENT IN BEOFRE ALL THE CHRISTMAS RETURNS... THIS SHOULD JUST BE A GIBSON TECH ORDERING A STOP TAIL AND BRIDGE IF IN FACT GIBSON AGREES AND SEE"S IT AS YOU DO.... THEY MAY NOT AS NICKLE IS SUPPOSED TO OXIDIZE that's what is used in there VOS MODELS... The reason your ax looks ROAD WORN is because they are basically a VOS model made to look like a true 59 age n all !!!! St James
  17. I too. If ya read TONE TIP #33 it claims that when you RAISE your action and LOWER your pups you get better tone more of that great GIBSON bell like quality and your sustain lasts longer. With the strings further from the pups the less the electro magnetic field can strangle your strings keeping em from resonating. I changed to this lower set up and went frm 10's to 12;'s and my god in 40 years of playing I never heard such great tone Makes my SLIDE licks really stand out. The higher set up is not difficult to play ..you;'ll get used to it in 5 minutes and your strings last longer not being so skinny !!! Gibson > Lifestyle > Features > Gibson Tone Tips #33: ... Gibson Tone Tips #33: String Height — Raise It For Tone! Dave Hunter | 09.01.2009 In this installment of Gibson Tone Tips we’re going to take a look at a simple factor of any guitar’s set up, but one that newer players often approached from too a narrow standpoint. When a learner first picks up the electric guitar, he or she is often most drawn to an instrument that has the strings as low to the fingerboard as is functionally possible, because this is easier on tender, unfamiliar fingers, and makes that guitar feel more comfortable in the beginner’s hand. From this point on, our “feel preference” is often set, and we take this “low action=great guitar” bias with us from guitar to guitar, throughout our playing career, imposing it forever after on guitars that we set up ourselves. Certainly low action makes a guitar easier to play, and for some styles it really is a necessity. What I would like to address here, though, are the high incidences of guitarists who perpetually chase “the perfect tone”, while continually focusing on string height purely as a function of playing feel, rather than as a factor of tone, which it most certainly is. The old set-up rule that you “get your strings as low as you can without buzzing” seems to make perfect sense. Set up to that criteria, however, while your strings might not buzz noticeably, their vibrational arc is more than likely still inhibited by the proximity of the frets. Also, play harder than usual — which, if you’re like me, you will often find yourself doing in live situations, even if you’re not aware of it — and that set up does also lead to a little unwanted buzzing, though your amp settings, the energy of the live gig, and any effects in the chain might help to mask it. Just for fun, try taking this inverted approach to setting string height: instead of getting them as low as you can without inducing serious buzzing, set your strings as high as you can have them and still be able to play with some reasonable facility. Doing this correctly might also require adjusting string intonation at the bridge saddles, because their angle and distance across their speaking length is now changing slightly, too, but for now just try it as is, in case you choose to return your action to point one. (Note that raising string height at the bridge might need to be coordinated with a tweak of neck relief at the truss rod, although I will leave that to your own best judgment as there is plenty of debated between the flat-neck/slight-relief crowds, and this determination will depend upon your own preferences.) Play your guitar a while like this, and notice how much more ring, richness, and sustain you get out of it. The strings should now vibrate for close to the full potential of the instrument (which, of course, also depends upon factors such as nut and bridge type and condition, body style, neck and body woods, and so forth). Put simply, your tone is likely to sound bigger and fuller, and to bloom with a broader voice and a longer note decay than previously. If this as-high-as-you-can-hack-it setting is a little too much for every-day playing, try backing the strings down a hair at a time, and hopefully you can find a height that offers a healthy compromise. Sure, it’s also possible you preferred it the way it was before you adjusted it at all, and if your playing style involves a lot of speed riffing, hammer-ons and pull-offs, or extreme bending, you might simply require that as-low-as-it-goes actions (and will very likely mask its drawbacks with some judicious high-gain tone). With any luck, though, you’ll have discovered an easy means of achieving a fatter tone, without purchasing or modifying a single thing. Higher strings can potentially induce some drawbacks that you will need to minimize. Before settling on your new action, you want to determine that strings don’t go out of tune in any fretting positions up and down the neck. You also need to ensure that using a capo, if you ever play with one, doesn’t throw all strings out of pitch too badly. Also note that if this experimentation results in raising your strings considerably from their previous position — and your guitar remains playable after doing so — you might also need to adjust your pickup height slightly. But, note that lowering the pickups further from the strings can often also help the strings to vibrate more freely (as discussed way back in Gibson Tone Tips #1), so leaving the pickups lower might be adding a double bonus to your new playing set up. Play with the options and see what works for you, and that will yield the “best right answer” for each individual player — and once you have achieved it for you, be sure to check and change your intonation, as necessary. If low action floats your boat, great, but it’s worth knowing that there’s a wealth of tone hiding in that thin slice of air between string and fingerboard. HOPE THAT EXPLAINS IT St James

  20. I just found out HOW I MAY HAVE TAKEN THE WOrding ont he 336 out of context The article I just read said that the body and side are made out of one piece of wood and that the neck unlike other necks is made of ONE PIECE OF WOOD. I believe that when that explaintaion was given to me either I misunderstood or his explination was taken out of context. I re-read the book that said that also now reads a bit differently I am beginning to see that I AM WRONG POSSIBLY and need to find out the real facts. TO make sure I'll ask DAVE FOLEY to put me in contact with one of the CS LUTHIERS who work on the line that makes the 336;s and have him explain it to me. I THANK YOU ALL you took the time to tell me that I was wrong , next time rather thanjust shoot me down please explain...I am one of those guys who prides himself on knowing as much as possible about the brand that I LOVE !!! SO BADBLLUESPALYER N BLACKFALG AND THE OTHER WHO WERE KIND ENOUGH TO SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE rather than make me just look stupid on the thread I appreciate your dignity and courtesy and I hope I can have the CORRECT answer for you one day. HAVE A GOOD ONE EVERYONE St James
  21. Thanks BAD BLUESPLAYER The MAIN reason why I keep sticking to my guns is because 1 it is in the book GIBSON ES models beginning to todday 2..DAVE FOLEY whom I order my guitars through..he;s in charge on Gibson backed and CELEBRITY guitars told me so. There;s is always a a chance of him being wrong or his explantaion...it's just seems odd that that was found in two different places. I don;t wanna really argue this point as BOTH are great ax's but still I prefer the full size 335. So I am gonna do more reasearch and call GIBSON again tomorrow. I appreaciate you letting me know this rather than just say WRONG !!!! Shoud you or anyone find any other info about this PLESASE LET ME KNOW........ that;s what I love about playing guitar 45 years of it and ya still don;t know even close to IT ALL and that will keep us going. That;s what seperates the GUITAR PLAYERS from the GUITARIST"S I have one of each and prefer the 339 thugh it is just a smaller 335...the 336 is to tinty, less sustain and maybe I just prefer the 335 full warm sound. THANKS and HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING St James
  22. I gotta tell ya this is NO FIREBIRD I EVER SAW !!!! AND IS ALSO NO FIREBIRD I WOUOLD WANT !!!! There's is a thing called Nostalgia nd why is that ALL GIBSON Newest ideas in the past few years have been just old guitar's with NEW CRAP on em. These remind me of the OLDER RD's with the moog electronics but ya added even more useless crap on em Gimme a 60's 335 and a 50's PAUL and REAL FIREBIRD or TWO and I'll be set...ONCE AGIN along with the ROBOTS, DUSK TIGERS, MENACES, VIXEN's, NEW CENTURIES and the ZOOT SUIT SG;s this may be the worst idea since DROPPING THE REAL LES PAUL in 1961 and calling it an SG a LES PAUL CUSTOM. Call me old school or what ever but I prefer 40-50 year old wood , great old PAFS or P-90's a 50's or 60 Blackface Fender amp and the TONE of a REAL GIBSON will take you away to another world. What guitar player needs an ax that tunes itself, or has some many effects it doesn;t matter what kind of wood ya use? Sorry HERNY NOT FOR ME..... Just my 2 cents St James
  23. I notice TWO of ya just put down EITHER I WAS WRONG OR THAT I SHOULDLOOK AT MY GUITARS IF ya go to the link that compares the two you'll see I AM NOT WRONG but am also beginning to wonder if I took the explinations given to me out of context or were they wrong. Either way I appreciate any input that improves my knowledge especially n the ES models.!!!!! WADDA YA THINK? THANKS GUYS I don't mind being told I am wrong just please next time add some link or someti8ng that help to back up your side. WE are all here to help each opther right?? It;s not a contest IS IT??? JAMES
  24. Do ya have P-90';s or ? mini-hums? The P-90's being single coiled may be a bit noisey but it sounds like a grounding issue or as As It was said above CHEAP CHINESE POTS N CHEAP CAPS.....especially the caps and he is DEAD ONE with is possibility. Check with RSGUITAR WORKS have them send you the VINATGE CONTROLS for the BIRD there POTS are fantastic and the TRUE SPRAGUE BUMBLE BEE'S will make that baby sing without the noise interference. I change em on EVERY GUITAR I have, VINTAGE GUITARS have the better stuff in em. Be carefull ordering from GUITAR CENTER as they have been known to spec Guitars with lesser quality wood and electronics. Also check the be sure anyting ya get IS NOT A GUITAR CENTER MODEL ONLY as the values drop fast on em and they are HARD to sell !! Are you running a lot of pedals???? If so you may have the pedals in the wrong order or plugged into a dirty circuit. It may also be CHEAP CABLES or your amp!! In the front of the forums there is a thread under STYLES that hsa about 30 tips on setting up and getting the best tone from your GIBSON...those tips all work and I ended up using that knowledge for stting up my pedals and Ive been playing 40 plus years. IF you;re unhappy with the MINI-HUMS with a bit of work you can fit P-90 in the space...... I have three FIREBIRDS all Vintage and two have P-90's and one mini-hums..... I like the P-90s for an all around tone guitar and the Mini-Hum is great especially for slide. Either way the FIREBIRD is a special guitar and not for everyone if it fits you as it has me MAN it;s gonna bring ya a ton of fun and great tone.Perfect for BLUES, ROCK and can fit into anything ya want. Enjoy it...think of the greats that playes this special Guitar, Johny Winter, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters., Buddy Guy Steve Winwood and plenty of others who also wanted a sound NO OTHER GUITAR HAS. Each guitar needs something to it when ya first get em to get em to have your SIGNATURE TONE, maybe you'll find yours changing those CAPACITORS and POTS and your noise problem will go way along with the fix (still sounds like Grounding) GOOD LUCK ST JAMES
