  1. Sorry to hear this. I know Trey will be missed by us and welcomed in the next realm. God bless you brother!
  2. you know you're getting old when your kids want to play trivial pursuit with you just to test your memory and brain fuction.
  3. OK, you guys forced me to do this... "Bread Goood!"
  4. So you know you are getting old when your kid is in a heated battle with the kid down the block about "Who's dad is older". Kid down the block says his dad is 46, mine says (proudly, of course) "My dad is 150! I was 42 at the time, probably only looked like 84.
  5. RCT, sorry for the loss of your pet. We lost one of ours a while ago and while it's rough now, we have found you will remember him fondly.
  6. Well, here's my two cents on guitar fashions... XXXXXXX.webp
  7. Whoa, hefty price tag. Think I'll wait for the Epiphone model to come out, no doubt at a more affordable $49K price point.
  8. RIP, Queen Elizabeth. A life well lived.
  9. Congratulation on the retirement KSdaddy! I took a buy-out package three years ago and never looked back. Sounds like you have more than enough to keep you busy, While at work I was known for saying "I have five Mondays a week in this place". Now its seven Saturdays a week. Most importantly, don't forget to spend time with your loved ones (you know, all those guitars you own). Enjoy!
  10. I recently had a bout of Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) like Brad 1 describes. Not fun and for anyone who has any type of vertigo see your doctor. Some are not so benign. I had a cataract removed from the left eye, but still have a nasty one in the right eye, so the difference in vision certainly doesn't help either. Can't wait for the right eye to be done.
  11. Congrats BBP! Looks killer and I bet it sounds even better!
  12. I often wonder how long a short circuit is
  13. Rabs, that is absolutely some amazing wood. I've always wanted to build one, but the only thing I get when working with wood is splinters. Guess I'll stick to the electrical trades. You will keep us posted through the build process, right?
  14. That is one sweet guitar! Enjoy it and share it with the neighbors 😉
  15. A thread walks into a bar and orders a shot and a beer. The bartender says "We don't serve threads in here, get lost!" So the thread goes into an ally, messes up his hair, un-tucks his shirt, and scuffs up his shoes. He then goes back into the bar and orders a shot and a beer again. The bartender says "I thought I told you we don't serve threads!" The thread says "What thread? I'm a frayed knot, now gimme that beer!"
  16. The police need to put him a room with the elderly couples relatives and go out for lunch. "We'll be back from lunch in about four hours, You guys keep an eye on him for us" Hope the Dbag get what's coming.

Awesome news! Now that you know they are safe, you can take a deep breath and relax a bit. Wishing them safe passage.
  18. Rabs, you just hit the nail on the head. You want to give her a guitar that fits her and is also a solid player. If this is not a surprise, perhaps you could go with her to a shop to get a feel for what fits her, keeping price in mind. But beware, as the father of two now fully grown girls (women), make sure you don't get caught in the "It looks really cool" trap (also know as a crappy guitar with a Hello Kitty sticker on it)
  19. Hi Rabs,, the classic comes in about 3.2 kg
  20. Hi Rabs, that's a really cool gift. Since you can afford it, go for the Epi LP Classic. I've had one for quite a while and it plays great, as you said the neck is slim and I would imagine the hardware and woods would be a step up. I have played the studio and while not bad, the Classic feels better; worth the money in my opinion. BTW, my birthday just passed!
  21. We were up that way about 4 months ago. Wish I knew about it. Will have to stop by on our next trip, looks awesome!
  22. Had to replace an ignition coil on my car and while I was in the area put in a new set of (6) spark plugs (70K miles on the car) for a total of about $250. Damn, that could have been used to fund a new guitar.
