  1. I don't know the how much this bass is worth. I would like to find out more about the bass before I make an attempt to sell it. The extra pickups looks factory I don't know if it's a rare gituar or one that the pickups were added by an individual. Since the label has the model number different with extra numeral or letter.
  2. The label is all hand written including the serial number. The serial number matches the block number on the head. Ihead. I was thinking that it was custom made with the extra pickups.
  3. I have Gipson bass EB 2 with a hand written manufacturer label inside. The model is labeled as EB 2 S or 5. Anyone have any information why the label was hand written and not stamped. I am guessing by the serial number it was made between 1965 and 68. It has an extra set of pickups but only two knobs unlike the EB 2 D models.
  4. Did the Michigan Gipson shop put hand written manufacturer labels in gituars? I have a EB 2 with a hand written manufacturer label. It has the bass model as a EB 2 S or 5. It has extra pickups on the bass but only two knobs.
  5. Sorry I looked again at the hand written label it has the model as EB 2 5 or S . Sorry looked at so many EB 2 that I got confused!
  6. I have a EB 2 DE bass that has a handwritten Gipson manufacturer label. The bass is setup different from EB 2 and EB 2D that I can locate. It has two separate pickups below the humbucker pickup about 2 inches. The label has the model written as EB 2 DE. The bass only has two knobs not four. My guess by the serial number it was manufactured between 1965 and 68. Any Ideas?
