Thanks sparquelito. The Burst Buckers are a lower output pickup than I'm used to, but they have a decent well rounded sound, that seemed a little muddy for my tastes. I'm playing through a smaller Mesa Boogie F30, and going directly in the BBs were just not doing it for me in keeping the low end tight, and getting some good high end. I ended up swapping out the bridge pickup, which is what I use the most, with a Seymour Nazgul, which is perfect in that guitar. Reminds me of Gibson Explorers with 500Ts that I have played in the past.
I've also managed to acquire an Epiphone Korina Explorer, looks like a 98 from a pawn shop via Reverb. It arrives tomorrow, and though it has been modified and has some dents I can hardly wait.
Be well, happy playing.
