Yeah, very strange. Might be sending this one back too.

That’s the label on my new replacement Casino. Besides the crappy label, the guitar was shipped in a Gibson case.

This seems to be a continuing story. I received my replacement Casino and the first thing I noticed while unpacking was that the case was brown with Gibson printed on top. It’s actually a nicer case than the Epiphone. According to Gibson service, that’s impossible! Gibson and Epiphone are on opposite sides of the factory. Keep in mind I did cut the security tape put on at the factory. The new guitar was perfect in regards to finish and action. But when I looked at the blue Epiphone label inside the guitar, I couldn’t believe they messed that up! There’s a crease going through the label. You can’t read what they wrote for Style. Unbelievable! So once again I have to decide if I want to keep it or send it back. They will refund $200.00 if I keep it.

Thanks for all the comments. Unfortunately I found a couple more flaws. The bridge pickup had some marks on the top dogear. It looked like when installing the screw the driver slipped and scratched it up. Also there was a deep dent in the finish by the trapeze. None of these imperfections should have been there. Don’t know how it passed inspection. As much as I would have liked keeping it, I sent it back.

Just received a USA Casino in Vintage Burst. Unfortunately there was a mistake made in production. The pickup covers are chrome instead of black. It may be the only one shipped with the wrong covers. Now I can swap it out for a new one or keep it the way it is. The only problem that I see is if I ever want to sell it, a buyer may think that I replaced the pickups. There’s no way to prove it was shipped like that. What would you do?
