  1. I was looking into swapping them out, but if that’s stock I’ll leave it as is. I have a 1969 es-150 with the slot head screws. I guess this 74-75 with Phillips pole screws will be my beater guitar for now.
  2. I guess I’ll continue this discussion with myself here. I was just looking on Reverb at other Gibson ES-150D models for sale. Turns out 2 other models are currently for sale with the same Phillips head pole screws. Another walnut finish and a Natural 1971 also.I guess it’s not common but not unheard of .
  3. I just picked up my 2nd es-150 DCW. The 1969 up top. The finish is much darker and sounds great.
  4. I just stopped by the auto parts store and picked up a mirror. The Pat. No. 2737842 is Gibson. It’s a beautiful guitar and glad I got a look inside without opening her up.
  5. I just picked up a used ES150 DCW, the pole pieces have phillip head screws. I’ve looked at a lot of Gibson guitars and have never seen this before. Just so happens it’s the one I just purchased and I’m curious. I had the guitar appraised and the pickups are Gibson. Has anyone ever seen these type of Humbucker pick ups before?
  6. I’ve been playing about 3 years. I just picked up an ES-150 DCW. It sounds great. Now I know why my Dad had a few Gibson guitars.
