  2. I had taken guitar to local luthier seven days ago and two hours ago he call me beacause guitar was ready to pick-up Works; - capo replacement with tusq - fret rectify - correct setting of truss rod and bridge - mechanics lunrication - action Now it seems literally another guitar like a true Gibson Les Paul - -
  3. Thank you pinch. Fortunately I have found a local luthier despite during this period of holiday in Italy most of activities are closed. I ‘ll bring my guitar to him for check setup to see what work can be done. I shouldn’t spend a lot of money cause my guitar is not a great value guitar excuse me for my language and bye from Italy
  6. Spare parts for Epiphone Les Pauls Good morning everyone from Italy Some time ago I inherited a guitar that is an adaptation of an Epiphone Les Paul elitist which I know for sure has changed the neck and fitted some quality home made pickups, but the rest is original. I would like to change the tuning machines and the tailpiece bridge unit due to some problems and do the job myself without drilling new holes or closing the old ones. Are Epiphone parts available? Where ? Can Gibson spare parts be used, cost separately, or could there be problems with measurements or due to the fact that Epiphone uses metric measurements while Gibson uses inches? I ask this because about 15 years ago on an Epiphone Lucille Made in Korea I changed the fine tuning bridge with the normal Nashville abr-1 ones and used original Gibson spare parts without changing the bushings with the thread inserted in the wood. if I had to take it to a luthier at that point I also change the nut with one in good bone or graphtech. Thanks in advance for the advice
  7. Buongiorno a tutti .
  8. @ BluesKing777 😳price near you is very high ! For LR Baggs m80 you pay 529$ ( AU dollar assume) =356€ bay included. In Shop near me in Italy I pay for it 270€=405 $ included 22% vat. my friend pay two year ago 1.900€ =2830$ included 22% vat for Maton Ebg 808 TE new!
  9. Yes I’ve seen Ocean acoustic: fantastic! I don’t want became John Butler, but make a sound like ! Friends that known well John Butler tell me that he use only magnetic for overdrive sound with condenser to zero. M1 seems has too microphonic effect ,but maybe this shouldn’t be a problem, is it active or passive? do you suggest it also for some overdrive sound? Initially I hat though to Gold foil pick-up like Recording king use on some guitar, but this type of mic has microphonic effect and hasn’t a good acoustic sound K&k is too expensive for me and its price is too high of my guitar value that I have get for 180€ about 193$
  10. Thanks for suggest, but I like also an overdrive sound like John Butker expecially with slide and many people say that LT bags M1 is not suitable for overdrive sound like Seymour Duncan Mag mic or Di Marzio Black Angel. So I’m thinking that Mag Mic is a good compromise having both magnetic mic and condenser mic with separate control and adjustable pole
  11. There are various system , Trinity Pro System (Mini) $513 Trinity Pro System (Classic) $547 Trinity Pro System (12-String) $526 Trinity Upgrade System $364 All are more expensive then Mag Mic , which of these do you use?
  12. I don’t see file or its link. are you on SoundCloud? bye from Italy
  13. Anyone have tried this pick-up? I’m thinking to buy for my new Epiphone EL-00 pro instead of stock Fishman Sonitone
  14. Sure , I hope they arrive as soon as possible
  15. Ciao a tutti. Opinioni? Consigli per le corde ? Io sto provando delle Martin Retro in Monel in attesa di provare sempre dell Monel Curt Mangan round core.
  16. No Thanks Generally I had liked Martin phophore bronze over bronze in the past on my acoustic guitar, also much then Elixir that I like on electric. Some friends suggest Curt Mangan but they are difficult to find in Italy Upgrade: I have found Curt Mangan in a e-shop in Switzerland 🇨🇭 so I have order there.

  18. Hello guys , from Italy. On Saturday I have purchased a second hand Epiphone EL-00 pro in very good condition, seems new! I need suggest about new string, actually is old and sounds poor. I think they are 11 gauge . I don’t play an acoustic guitar from along time. I the past I had used and like Martin This is a shape that I never had played before. What gauge , 11-52 or 12-54. ? Or others? Martin brands : phophore/ bronze , bronze, silk or Monel? SP , Marquis or Retro ? I play blues and sometimes strumming I don’t like too brilliant strings. What do you suggest ?
  19. Hello I own an Epi Elitist Les Paul with a second hand original Gibson neck ( crash cause accident) and Italian hand wired PAF replica pickup by I-SPIRA I have always used a 10-46 string Gibson vintage reissue, Ernie Ball, Elixir,DR STRING pure blues. If I should want use a bigger gauge , it would be a good idea or not? What is the max gauge without damage neck? I look to DR STRING 11-50 pure blues; Pyramid pure nickel same gauge or 12-52; Thomastik BB111 11-47 o 12-50. Your thoughts about ? Thanks and bye
