Oh, and I’d also prefer to not drill into the headstock at all, so that I could have the option to “switch back” with no damage done…

So, I love my new 2021 J-45 Rosewood.. including all the “bling”.. EXCEPT the gold tuners. Should I just replace them with Gibson nickel ones (same model, different color)? or should I look into other kinds of tuners? - Gibson “vintage look” tuners? - more expensive locking tuners from another make? … I’d prefer to keep the guitar looking “stock” as much as possible.

Oh, and my two instruments are a Hummingbird Standard, and a J-45 Rosewood. Love them both.

I’ve been playing for a bit over a year - 100% acoustic. Johnny Cash, Praise & Worship, and other eclectic tunes! I’ve had Martins, a Taylor, and now two Gibson acoustics. The Martins and Taylor are objectively every bit as good - but for me, the Gibsons have “it.”
