  1. Yes, thanks all and 62burst. It appears to be a streak of sapwood. Sorry for my ignorance on the subject. Not very knowledgeable regarding wood.
  2. It plays fine, just seems odd. I was curious if it was a quality issue or intentional. I have the inspection sheet and they checked off all good.
  3. Its interesting looking but I was curious if it was intentional or an oversight. I can't believe a company like Gibson would make this big of a screw up.
  4. I bought this G445 Standard new and it came with this weird finish issue. Is this intentional?
  5. I bought one of these new about 2 years ago and the back of the guitar body has an unfinished stripe in the bottom center. Its weird. Its like they didn't stain it in that area. Looks like a skunk guitar. Doesn't Gibson have quality controls? I thought about buying some stain and finishing that spot. Not sure what shade they use though.
