I finally took delivery of my new 335 yesterday evening. Shipment was delayed over the weekend until yesterday. I noticed right away that there are quite a few finish checking marks all over the back of the neck, near the bridge, and some on the back of the body, and along the sides. Is this a cause for concern or just cosmetic?
I don't mind the look, just don't want to run into any major issues down the road especially where it meets the binding.
It was in the 60's today and my house was only several degrees warmer inside. Also waited the recommended 3-4hrs per the wording on the factory Gibson box.
It's difficult to see in this lighting and not too noticeable while holding the guitar. Seems like the light has to hit it just right.
