  1. It seems the forum is very picky about photo size. If it's not uploading them, they may be too big.
  2. Yes, ebony fingerboard...back and sides are rosewood. I should have taken a pic of the back, it's purty!
  3. It's here! It's great, I'm happy happy :D
  4. The one I play the most is an old Fender F-250 I bought in 1982. My best guitar is a 1974 Les Paul 20th Anniversary which I bought in 1976...but I don't play it anymore. My favorite is likely to be the guitar whose headstock is pictured in my profile pic - a J45 Deluxe which is due to arrive TOMORROW!
  5. 😮 You are absolutely right! *blush* Not only that, but my research (which should have been done before opening my big mouth) shows that the square-shouldered version also had a 25-1/2" scale length. Learn something new every day....
  6. I Really Like Girls - George Thorogood
  7. I had five or six CDs on my desk at work, and a youngster engineer was in my office and saw them. He says, "You've got CDs?! Do you listen to those?" Yeah, well I'm old 😋
  8. A, C, D, E and G in the first position. You could also throw in Am, Dm and Em but that's about it. F does not qualify, because it's a quasi-barre chord, same with B. This is why so many old country standards are in the keys of G and D (my dad called it "hillbilly D").
  9. Greetings all, been playing for about 50 years. Started learning on my dad's old Gibson arch-top (model number eludes me now) and up to now I have only ever owned ONE Gibson. That would be a 1974 Les Paul custom which I bought in 1976. (Still have it, by the way.) I play mostly in church now, and acoustic, and finally sprung for a Gibson acoustic--a J45 Rosewood Deluxe. It hasn't even arrived yet, and I can't wait 😬
