I am considering buying a Gibson Les Paul Custom Ebony w/ gold hardware built in Custom Shop 2012. Some people say that this year is considered bad, and that real Les Paul Customs should have ebony fretboard, whereas this has rosewood. What is your take on this, sound wise and reseller value wise? Hi! Is this crack something I should worry about on my (newly bought second hand) ES-335? It is situated next to the screw that connects the pickguard to the body.

Hi, Looking to buy a used ES-335 and came across one from 2008 in 60's Cherry. However, the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that the seller had in the case had an other Serial Number than the one on the guitar. The seller (probably rightfully so) claims that the person he bought the guitar from probably put the guitar in the wrong case and that case had the COA which belonged to another guitar (another ES-335 supposedly). So my questions are: Does ES-335 DOT built in Memphis 2008 come with COA? If so, how much does not having the COA affect the resale value? Many thanks!
