I agree with Gurner This is a special guitar . I paid $1,650 from reverb who was selling it with Chicago Music Exchange . I had my doubts because the back was worn down to the word in one spot the size of a quarter . And there was 20 plus deep buckle marks on the back but the front was perfect Lemon Burst or Ice Tea Burst with awesome tiger stripes . It has “ patent applied for “ on the pickups . I own a 1959 thanks to my father . And 8 other Les Paul Standards from 1990s to 2012 . And the Standard 2002 and 2003 have the Gibson headstock logo in Gold , just like the Reissue models and the original design from the late 50s to the 61 Les Pauls . So Believe Gurner he know what he’s talking about because I own the same year . I have some Reissue that sound similar but this one to me is my main guitar I take on the road . Some of my Vintage guitars never leave my studio vault even my 51 Stratocaster 54 , 56 , 57 Fender Stratocaster . Also vintage amps . And my 45 year old Vox / fuzz wan wan pedal my girlfriend gave me for my 16 birthday . I save and take good care of my things not like my kids who didn’t pay for there **** . A year later it was lost or broken . I value my musical equipment . That’s how I put a roof over my head and food on the table and clothes on my back . So ya stay away from those shitty 2002 Gibson they’re not for you . They are terrible guitars right Gurner 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
