I bought a brand-new SJ-200 Standard in April. It's absolutely gorgeous, sounds great, and plays great. Has a very slight buzzing on the A string at the 2nd and 3rd frets. I tried giving the neck a bit of relief, but the buzz wouldn't go away until the action got too high. So, I called Gibson Support and was able to get an RMA number (official repair #) and the guitar was sent back to Nashville on 6/21, They told me that it would probably take 2-3 weeks to repair. It's now 8/24, (9 weeks from sending it back to them), and now they claim that it's still going to be another3-5 weeks until it's ready. For a brand-new guitar?? Heck, they've had it in the shop longer than I've had it in my home. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't worried about what they need to do and what type of condition it will be in upon return.
Anyone else have issues with their guitar repair in Nashville?
