  1. I have a 2006 standard J45 and used to own a J45 TV. I had a similar opinion as the original poster. I found my standard to be more warm to my ears. The TV seemed more refined, but in the end I kept the standard. It just had more of the sound that works for me.
  2. Thanks. It was a bad ground. Hum is very minor now and dead quiet when I touch the strings. Gonna go play more now!
  3. I love all of those bursts! Beautiful, simply beautiful.
  4. Hello everybody. I am a electric guitar noob and have what may be a silly question. I have had gibson acoustics for years and love them, especially a my J45. Well, for christmas this year my wife bought me a beautiful Les Paul Traditional 2013 in honey burst. I love the guitar, but here is my question. When plugged in to my amp, the guitar has a buzz when you are not touching the strings. As soon as you touch anything metal (including the strings) the buzz goes away. My question is, is this normal. Like I said, I am new to electric guitars. When this situation occurs on my acoustic it is a ba
  5. It ticks all the boxes of what I like on a j45. Sounds just like mine. If it sounds good, buy it. I will bet you love it.
  6. I agree. There is something special about a J-45. I have had numerous guitars come and go, but the J45 is my soul mate. I am in the process of getting down to one guitar, but so far I am down to just two. The 2012 Martin D-18 is also a great guitar. I actually think that it sounds better than my Gibson, but it lacks the mojo and awesome feel of the J-45.
  7. I owned both a 2010 J-45 TV and a 2006 J-45 standard. Both were excellent guitars. But between the two, I really favored the standard. The standard just seemed to sound a little deeper and felt better. I still have the standard, but sold the TV. Maybe I did not give the adi top time to open up. There are ecxellent examples of TV's, but don't write off a good standard.

Hi, I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of the J45TV. Would you please e-mail to cullen.taylor@hoganlovells.com? Thanks.

  9. Hi Bscha

Its interesting you should mention the Fishman Loudbox Artist, As I have the Fishman Loudbox Mini and i think its wonderful on guitar but on vocals it sounds very average, I did buy the Loudbox 100 but I wasn't too impressed and took that back, I too have read great reviews on the Artist but after reading your post I won't buy it. Thanks for been honest,

  10. I have no idea. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.
  11. I do not know what happened. I am having problems with my Internet connection, I really feel bad about all those posts. Sorry for hijacking the board.
  12. Christmas came early at our house this year. Santa's elf looked like a fedex driver and was packing a box from elderly instruments. My wife bought me an AER Compact 60! I have been wanting this amp for years. I can report that the amp may be the perfect acoustic amp! Size is just under a foot squared. It packs a very efficient 60 watts, this thing can kick out the sound. It came complete with a really nice padded gig bag. What is most impressive is the sound. It really seems to tame an under saddle pickup and and makes it sound very natural, not harsh at all. This is the sound that I have been
