It's a fake. Notice how there is a lack of symmetry between the two halves of the "open book" headstock shape. Also the image of the neck to body joint shows a step there. Not original. Really bad inlay of the "Gibson" name. Last but certainly not least is the fact that it was painted with a brush. This guitar is a fake all day long. I don't care where it came from. Edited to add this: There are many more telltale signs of this being a forgery. The ones I mentioned are just the most obvious. Another would be the three-ply binding which was never offered on a 335 and the shape of the truss-rod adjustment hole.

It's insane that companies are discontinuing products which were quite successful during their production runs. Like Harley Davidsdon discontinuing the Dyna line. Or GM canning the Camaro.

A 335, a good Tele and an OM would get you through most gigs.

My SN starts with a 3 and is 6 digits.

I also have a 2018 Memphis made 335 and it has the year stamped on the back of the headstock. Unlike my Les Paul, the serial number on the 335 does not indicate the date.

Wow! My 2019 '50's Standard is 10lbs even and I find it to be a bit heavy. Sounds great though - I play it sitting down most of the time.

Yes that's the year it was made. You can trust that. And yeah - the titanium saddles are a nice bonus. The guitar you are looking at is either original and authentic, or it is one helluva fake, which I doubt very much!

I paid right around $3000 for this one, shipped. It's a 2018 and I got it second hand from the original purchaser a few months after he got it. I don't know why he sold it and didn't care to ask. It's a great instrument.

You will likely struggle with the jack - it is not trivial. Let the folks at Gryphon do it. They are some of the very best.

Listen to Jon Jorgensen in "The Hellecasters". He uses ASAT almost exclusively.

I have one and love it. They are highly underrated and very reasonably priced. It's my best "Tele".

For all it's worth, if you get the new one you get the warranty. If all else were equal, for me, that would be the deal maker.

Same here - not 6 but a couple. This is the only one where I blocked someone.

He's a complete a$$hole. I don't think I've ever read a post of his that added any worth to the conversation. I have him blocked but unfortunately the posts still show up when others quote him.

MHS stands for "Memphis Historic Specification". They are supposed to emulate an original PAF in terms of specifications so I would imagine there are two leads.

It's pretty rough. I wouldn't pay more than 750 USD for it, if that much.

I can tell by looking at it that it isn't bone. To tell if something is bone, take a pin and heat it red-hot. Then touch it to the material. If it smells like burnt hair then it's bone. Otherwise it's not. For those who are not as mentally-endowed as most, hold the pin with pliers while performing this technique.
