  1. And you are not the only one who sees that.
  2. Is this place turning into another version of Stack Overflow where if you dare ask a question you get excoriated for having the audacity to do so?
  3. Well I've had several LP's and 335's and never have I seen this. Definitely not normal.
  4. That one is in excellent condition for an 18 year-old guitar. Looks like someone put a bone nut on it and nice job of it they did.
  5. Let's have a closeup look at the back of the headstock.
  6. Nope. I have both of the Gibsons that were on my bucket list.
  7. I started making them in 2000. It took me a few years to get my production chain figured out. I figure I've made somewhere around 40,000 picks or so over the past 20 years. The availability is limited because I'm a one-man shop and I'm getting old and arthritis is plaguing my hands. Sometimes I'm unable to do what needs to be done to get the picks out faster and maintain the quality. My wife does all the books and shipping and customer service. I do all the shop stuff.
  8. I make these at my shop here in the US: https://redbeartrading.com/ The others are mere copies!
  9. "The Birth of Loud" by Ian Port is a great look at the historical interaction between Fender and Gibson and how they influenced one another. Excellent read and very informative.
  10. I don't think so. There's not really any "etched in granite" meaning to them. There can be, but not always.
  11. I don't think Stevie was there because of her great singing voice.
  12. Mine came with a brown version of this case. Very nice indeed.
  13. We have a similar situation here in Utah right now. Having been raised in New England it just feels right at this time of year.
  14. I keep a Leatherman in my truck. I have never needed it. But the minute I remove it from the truck, I'll need it for something.
  15. I never understood the relic thing. What a marketing scam Fender started! How to ignore attention to detail and get paid MORE for it.
  16. I didn't realize The Stones went through that many guitarists. Keef's been with them from the beginning.
  17. Good luck. I can't even get them to answer an email so . . .
  18. Both. I have a vintage DR from 1968 and for the longest time it kept blowing fuses and the sound was horrible - weak and static sounding. Turns out it was those spade connectors. Even though they were soldered onto the wires they did not make good connection with the speaker terminals. I removed them and soldered the wires straight to the terminals and boy did that amp wake up! It has been solid and sounding great ever since and no more fuses blowing. That was years ago and since then I've seen it on several other amps including my 6G16 Vibro-Verb. Same symptoms - same problem - same fix.
  19. I always solder my speaker connections. Makes a huge difference. Too many problems with the push-on spade connectors coming loose. I've been on tube amps since the early 70's.
