  1. @marpar I bought the guitar online 'as is', it has always had this issue. I mainly use it through a Kemper; though grounding in our house is not optimal, the issue here mainly concerns the guitar 🙂 Here is a picture of the wiring of the volume and tone control:
  2. Hi everyone, I own a 1982 Gibson Chet Atkins CE. Preamp, separate volume controls on board seem to work just fine. Nevertheless, there is a substantial ground hum. The hum almost completely stops when i touch the end plate, the volume/EQ-mount plate or even the shield paint on the left side top of the backside cavity where the board and battery are stored. The cavity seems to be painted with special shield paint; the plastic backside cover is shielded. The battery holder is placed on the shielded backside cover. Is there any (quick) fix to this issue? Thanks so much for your time and attention. Karl Adams - the Netherlands IMG_0539.HEIC IMG_0540.HEIC IMG_0542.HEIC
