  1. A picture would help. Go here to try and identify the serial number, and go from there. http://www.vintagekramer.com/serials.htm

  4. Here's an example.: "Floyd Rose continues its legacy of innovation with the brand new surface-mounting FRX Tremolo System for Les Paul, SG, and Flying V-style guitars..." https://www.floydrose.com/products/frtx?variant=29837643090
  5. Well, the ad says, "Introducing the new, deeper bodied Ferrington...". So my guess would be yes.
  6. Looks like a KFS-2. Strat style body, dot inlays
  7. Google: "Gibson Schaller Tulip Flower Logo Tuners" I believe they are Norlin Era correct
  8. "The speculation has already started, and the Gibson Les Paul Standards, known as #1 and #2, along with Page’s Les Paul Custom..." https://www.gearnews.com/gibson-jimmy-page-eds-1275-doubleneck-revealed/
  9. Definitely easier to swap necks on those...
  10. A few things... I've never seen a Kramer model quite like that one. Possibly custom, but I'm thinking it's something someone put together. Especially with "Jackson" on the tremolo, and what might be a Kramer neck. Or at least a Kramer logo decal. The point on the "Chicken beak" style headstock looks a little more "pointy" than any pictures I've seen. Although it's a little hard to tell from the picture at that angle. The Chicken beaks were created by cutting Fender Stratocaster style headstocks due to a lawsuit. Some good Kramer info here: http://www.vintagekramer.com/index.htm Chicken beak:
  11. Personally, I'd probably just put it in whatever body style I preferred regardless of what the original was. But it would have to be an amazing neck.
  12. So, just so we're clear... You're refurbishing a "neck"? And since you don't have the checklist card that identifies the model based on a letter code, you ask Gibson to identify the model based on the serial number, then once identified, you'll acquire a neckless body type it originated from.
  13. Range - E0001-13XXX Notes: (E11000 to E12000 are when the recessed cavities appeared on bodies) 1986-90 "Pointy Droopy" or "Shark" headstocks(E2000s-G series) - Bodies and Necks by ESP Die cast plates in chrome sporting "Neptune, NJ" on them with the banana Kramer logo. http://www.vintagekramer.com/serials.htm

  15. No problem. Glad to help.
  16. From that page: "The neck/body joint features the new Modern Contoured Heel for effortless access to the highest frets..."
  17. The 2007 Les Paul Swamp Ash studio comes close, but nothing with one Vol. / one Tone. Just curious, are you sure it's ash? Was it a different color before refinishing?
  18. I would say, yes. I've purchased official Gibson pickups in the past that have come in the plastic box style package. I guessing the new packaging is more environmentally friendly.
  19. It's real. Double Black bobbins covered by a Nickel cover. The cover is obvious, so they describe the bobbins underneath. Here is the description from the Gibson site: "'57 Classic Plus (Double Black, Nickel Cover, 2-Conductor, Potted, Alnico 2, 9K)" https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Product/PU57-plus-DBNC2/PU57DBNC2
  20. Well, the necks are stamped with a serial number and date. I'm assuming before the neck-to-body assembly, or at least the painting process. I've seen one of Gibson's YouTube videos, but I can't remember if they stamp the necks off the body, or with the body once assembly is successful and it counts as an actual assembled unit. Then to hardware, tuners, strings, electronics, final tuning/inspection, and the checklist etc. Are we assuming that all those steps were all completed and the instrument was completely finished on the date it was stamped?
  21. Had one of those in Wine Red. Lightweight.(about 7lbs.) Thanks to the chambered body. Which also gave it a non "typical" Les Paul sound. Even with the`57 Classic pickups I believe.
  22. Well, it is being sold, "as a replica of a Gibson Les Paul Supreme".
  23. Does it have a serial number? How To Verify Authentic Gibson Serial Numbers: https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Support/Serial-Number-Search Guitar Dater Project: https://www.guitardaterproject.org/gibson.aspx
