  1. I don't believe there was a production year for the 335's to avoid. Since you have the chance to visually look at it and play it, spend as much time as you need with it before decide to buy or not buy it. I usually like to play a guitar that I am thinking about buying for at least a 1/2 hour. I was really lucky, I acquired my 335 in a trade deal with a friend. We traded guitars for a month before we made the deal. I will tell you this, I have owned a lot of guitars since 1963 and my 335 is the best sounding, most versatile guitar I have ever owned. So if this one isn't the right for you, keep looking until you find the right 335.

  2. I find it really difficult purchasing a guitar without looking at it and playing it. I've only purchased one guitar without seeing it on e-bay. I was not disappointed in the purchase, but I sold the guitar within 6 months of the purchase. I would ask the owner if the guitar was modified or repaired. Of course I would want to know the the type of pickups and neck style. Now, I personally would only buy a guitar sight unseen or played from a source that would allow me to return it if I did not like it, but that's just how I think. Good luck and keep us posted.

  3. Glad to hear the Blazer is on the road again and no one was hurt. As for the girl. She will probably be charged with receiving stolen property, which in this case is a felony. Unless she admits she stole the vehicle, or their is a witness to the theft, she will not be charged with the theft. If she was found by the police in control of the vehicle, she will be charged with OVI. The court will probably order her to pay restitution, so keep your receipts. Most likely she will not pay you anything. Do not feel bad about not dropping the charges, she needs to answer for her lack of respect for you and the general public. If she does not wise up, someone may get seriously hurt or killed by her actions while impaired. A side note about leaving keys in cars. It is a parking violation, called unattended motor vehicle. Good luck.

  4. I'm glad it wasn't my imagination. Last year I purchased an ES339 and I returned it a week later because it would not stay in tune for more than a song, especially the G string. I have not been able to find another one in a red finish locally so I gave up the idea of buying one and bought another Les Paul instead. I don't think a person should have to change out the tuning keys on a new guitar.
